  • legal advice on shoplifting

1 year and a few months ago my sister shoplifted at a chain store and heard nothing since. She's still worried about it since she used her card at the same time. Is it likely for anything to come of this now? Apparently she lifted several times from the same store - I believe they were clothes. She hasn't done anything since and she's become terrified of being tracked downL

    Hi ABQ191817

It is very unlikely that anything will happen because of the time that's elapsed. It might be an idea to steer clear of the store. If she did it again and got caught, the store would probably investigate.
