  • Locating Desroyed Court Case Files

Hello everyone. I have a question. I have a few court case files that I would like to locate. The problem is the case files have been purged and destroyed due to retention laws. I am wondering if there is still a way I can locate the case files through the courts. If not, is there another way? for example; a historical society, or a record retrieval service. Thanks.

    Hi Wiseone,

It depends how long ago those cases took place?, what format the files were in? all the other possibilities.

It would be like looking a needle in a haystack just to find it does not exist.
