  • Illegal ccj ?

Hi. New to this. First post . Looking for any advice on this
I found out today I have a supposed debt and ccj against me from nearly 7 years ago. I have lived in my current address 7 years this sept. But I left my last address around sept/ oct 2013
I havrnt heard anything about a debt until now and now I have a solicitor and resolve call leaving notes at my door and constant voicemails from the solicitor about a debt of 800 or so I owe.

And I was told I hwve a ccj against me.
My query is that I didnt recieve any information about a court date or debt, can I be served without getting information?
they know my current address as manage to visit me and ring me so why didnt they send to my address? My details were updated on electrol roll and driving a licence etc when I moved .

I find it crazy that I now have a court judgement against me effecting me that I had no knowledge of and no way of defending . I am currently not in a position to pay 800 I dont know where from!?
they say a catalogue but I never signed for any thing like that I can not remember signing my name to any agreement

Any advice where I stand I tried citizens advice but all they said was to not contact them as would be admitting I owe them. So I feel stuck I dont want to ignore it and get worse but I dont want to try resolve it and end up having to pay for something I dont owe ??

    thankyou for time reading this.

So you are saying you have no idea about what the debt is for or indeed that you had a CCJ?

Telling them you need proof of the CCJ is not admitting the debt
