Hi All,
I am writing on behalf my friend who has been issued a fixed penalty notice due to travelling from his home town Leyland to Blackburn (14Miles) to pick up takeaway from a special burger place. There were 3 of them in the car and only 2 got issued with the fixed penalty Driver and the front passenger, but the passenger at the back did not get the fixed penalty, as the Police told them share it between you Three. However he has been issued on 08/1/2021 and the letter came today 27/01/2021 by post and he has 14 Days to pay £100 or £200 after 28 days.
However one of the passenger gave the wrong name and wrong address and he is going to ignore and my friend who was the driver is worried.
Please advise , will they get in touch with the driver, as the Driver will pay his fine, they may ask driver for the passenger details if the police get involved or they may ignore after a certain time if no response.
