  • Appealing a dismissal of my County Court small claim

This is weird. I had a hearing against Easyjet. They didn't even bother showing up. My case is rock solid, but the Judge was really confrontational, and dismissed my claim as he stated I did not submit the witness statement of another person in time.

But i did. I pointed this out when asking for permission to appeal, and in his reason for telling me I could not, he made out this reason was one of several he dismissed my claim, even though he only presented this one reason for dismissing the claim before he did so.

Weird AF. Order came today. Merely says claim dismissed, application to appeal dismissed.

how can I now fight this please? It's not right.

wish I had the experience to help but judgments can be set aside though I do not know what the process is for this - try looking online for the process?

Might be worth checking with the court to see if the hearing was recorded. I was in court presenting a small claim last month for the first time and I'm pretty sure mine was. They should be able to tell you how to obtain a copy and that might be a good place to start before trying to appeal.
