  • Using copyrighted material as evidence in court

    Hi

Is it permissible to use screen grabs from a defendant's website as evidence against them in court (UK) without the defendants permission?

I ask as there appears to have been such a case in Sweden where the court of appeal said no and awarded monies to the defendant as compensation.
Obviously asking the defendant is likely to lead to a refusal and the removal of the incriminating evidence from their website.
I cannot find any information online regarding this issue.

And while I'm here what is the situation regarding the use of Google Earth and Google Streetview images in court? Is permission required from Google and is it admissible?

    thanks
