Hi everyone,
I have produced a widget for brass bands to display on their websites, showing off their National Gradings and contesting success. The data was obtained from being present at the competitions where results were read out as well as cross-checking on the brass band publication 4BarsRest.com and results site brassbandresults.co.uk.
I have recently been contacted asking me to exclude a subset of the results as the copyright for these results is held by their Regional Body. These results can be found at http://www.regional-contest.org.uk/l...grading-tables - they claim the copyright is clearly evidenced, yet all I see is a copyright statement at the bottom of the website, for data that I haven't taken from their website.
Is it possible to copyright competition results like this?
What is the recommended course of action to follow?
Cheers,
Luke
