Hello forum,

I'm looking for help as I'm currently in a big situation. I cannot give many information about myself as it's a matter of life and death.*

For the past 2 months I've been a puppet. I've been worried of my life and possibly my family life.*

Right now I live with a person that controls me and uses me, I cannot go away as I didn't had any money since I'm with him, or not even the courage to leave because this man is a dangerous man.*

I've been working with no papers for him, as a slave. He's been using my name for his cover, he's been using my card for his transactions, and the most important, I'm a driver, this guy bought a car and has put it under my name, the insurance is under my name and the taxes are under my name. He's driving this car every day with no driver license.*

II honestly don't know what to do as I don't have any money, living with him, and if he suspects something I might even die.*

He has to pay me for 2 months now... But seriously I have no idea what I could do next. I'm afraid that even if I get away from here, I cannot resume my previous state of life, as he's a bad driver and will receive a lot of tickets on my name... And I didn't even drove the damn car.*

I know that you must be scared, but there is help for you

This is the number for a modern slavery helpline who can help you. They have an online form for you if you feel safer filling this in. If it is proved this has all been done against your will, our safegaurding laws will protect you from any illegal purchases and charges (ie parking tickets). The police have a dedicated team too.

If you can leave the house at all, go straight to your local police station, they can and will help lock this monster where he belongs and you won't need to go back to the house at all.

It started 2 3 months ago. I was vulnerable, passing thru a breakup. I was living in a single room and he was my neighbor, was living in the same house (house for share) and he was a nice guy, than we moved together, and presented to me this nice business, construction, started working for him and after that all came along and discovered that everything was fake, company name, paperwork, alias, everything . He never threatened me directly, but he does it all the time indirectly, he talks about what he did to others. He knows that he doesn't have to threathen me directly as I'm working crazy hours with him, and he has control over all. He's paying for the food, for the rent.. Basically I have no money, he's supposed to give me,but instead he took everything from me. He's calling me different names and when he wants something he gets it and doesn't accept no for an answer. Oh boy, never accepts no.. From anyone. I said no one time and it made me feel sorry after.
In the beginning, I gave him a chance, seeing that he's a nice guy, but once I was caught here... It all came along. He asks nicely because he knows the only answer you can give him is yes.

There is no need to feel sorry, you have done nothing wrong!

The second it is safe to do so, go straight to the police and report this, it is a crime! No one, but NO ONE has the right to do this to you!

Every business and government body now has a safeguarding policy for modern slavery, if need be offer to do something along the lines of taking council tax payments to the council for him and report it there, they WILL help you!
