This is a quick guide to clear your internet history, cookies, files, passwords and form data entered.
Internet Explorer
Select Tools menu (IE6) or the Tools pull down (IE7).
Select Internet Options.
Be sure that you are on the General tab at the top. You should see a window that resembles the one below.
Select Delete... in the Browser history section.
Select Delete History in the History section of the next dialog box.
You can select Delete All, but this will remove any saved passwords, any current log ins, etc
Empty the recycle bin.
Firefox 2.x.x.x
Click on Tools, located on the top menu.
Select Options.
Select the Privacy button at the top of the dialog box. You should see a window that resembles the one below.
Click on the Clear Now... button, located in the section called Private Data. An additional small dialog box should appear.
Be sure that Clear Browsing History is checked and then select Clear Private Data Now.
Alternatively, you can quickly clear your private data on Mozilla Firefox by pressing "CTRL + SHIFT + Delete" on your keyboard.
Empty the recycle bin.
