I'm in need if urgent advice please.
I got divorced in November ‘19 and my ex husband bought me out of the marital home.
The Financial Consent Order stated he had to pay me the money to buy me out of the house and remove me from the title deeds etc by October ‘20.
My ex was unable to do so as he had a fairly new business and could only afford to take a directors’ loan at the end of each financial year and it took him a total of three years to repay me and therefore breached the consent orderer.
In addition, he emailed me about 4/5 years ago when the fixed rate period was ending on the krigu Al mortgage to say he was unable to find a new mortgage on his own and has to stay with the original lender and keep my name on the details.
I couldn't argue with him at the time as he had emotionally and financially abused me throughout our entire relationship so I just went along with what he said.
Unfortunately, I haven't been able to work for six years due to long term mental health issues and physical health issues, largely caused by the stress of my toxic relationship, and the fact I am still tied to the property has affected my Universal Credit as I am classed as still owning a property.
Anyway, he has now decided to sell the house as he can't afford it on his own and needs me to sign some paperwork regarding the title deeds.
I have no idea how any of this works in terms of legalities and I’m concerned that it would be revealed that he breached the Consent Order and that I might also be implicated?
I should also add that he lowballed me on the money to buy out of the property and bullied me into the agreement.
I'm not sure exactly what I'm asking but I would welcome any advice please.
