Hello,
I am looking to get some free legal advice. Sadly, to cut a long story short, we are heading down the divorce route and I need help with all things financial.
Its a second marriage for both of us. We don't have any children together. We don't have a pre-nup.
We have a business where I am a 10% shareholder and director. The business was worth nothing when we got together and I supported us for the first couple of years.
The business is now doing really well and at the beginning of 2023, I was given an ultimatum - either give up my job or give up my marriage.... Ignored that BIG RED FLAG....gave up my job and now he has complete financial control.
We have a house that still has a mortgage, but this is in both of our names.
How do I even start this process? I terrified of getting left with nothing. Thanks for any advice.
