Yes, she can be given the house to look after the children of the relationship. Given in that you would be expected to leave and find other accommodation. You might get the house back when the children have reached majority.

Surely I have a legal right to sell the property and split the proceeds and to provide a property for my daughter?

Family law is not my area but I agree the courts will need to provide a home for the children. You say your partner pays the mortgage? She has put money into the property and any divorce settlement will recognize that fact I believe. My only advice is to see a specialist famly law solicitor asap.

Just to be clear we are not married just engaged at present, does that make a difference
