Equity from sale of home

My husband and I are seperating with the sale of the house ongoing, if the equity was split 50-50 it would go towards paying credit card debt etc.
my husband believes that as he put 10k on mortgage left in a will by relative he should get that back and split the small amount left over.
we have 2 children who will move into rented with me, and he earns twice as much as me, obviously it,s about him rather than his children.
for me to get legal support it,s no doubt going to cost me and make the final debt even more.
any idea of costs if this had to run through the courts, I earn just £700 pm and struggling,
all advice appreciated.

This is site is no help whatsoever that's the 2nd time I,ve asked for advise and got nothing, talk about being alone.

Wonder why you are getting divorced? if you bump up the question someone may help everyone who advises on here does it in their own free time many thousands who have been helped will disagree with you
