  • Divorce advice following immigration Visa deception

hi, i was wondering if i could gain some advice. I am a UK Citizen, i was married in Kenya to my then Kenyan partner in 2004, however the marriasge was never registered here in the UK once we was here, As soon as my wife obtained her Spouses visa to enter the UK the marriage pretty much ended at that point, obviously i was aware i had ben slightly scammed and in the now 7 years we habve been married we have approximately spent 9-12 months of that time together or living together as man and wife here in the UK. She has since gone through the residence visa route and now citzenship here in the uk and i believe now has a UK passport, in fact i know that.
Consequently now she would like a divorce and i was wondering what my situation is regarding this, i have heavily invested in businesses in Kenya in her name, together with the situation as to her status here in the uk currently, i am assuming her passport does not have her married name on this, is this legal?, am i still responsible for her in the uk, given she lies 100's miles away in the north of uk, should i be contacting immigration of being honest with them on the situation, i feel im entitled to some kind of recompense here and feel short changed on the whole deal, any good advice would be really welcome.
