  • Self representation in divorce proceedings

Hello, I would be very grateful for any guidance or signposting to information. I am presently going through divorce proceedings which have been ongoing since late 2024. I have been worn down financially due to continued requests for my financial disclosure from the other party and am no longer in a financial position to afford my solicitor's costs. I am aware that I can represent myself in court as a Litigant in Person but court proceedings have not yet been applied for. My query is to whether I am able to self represent myself now, before going to court, as I can no longer afford legal representation and I do not qualify for legal aid. Many thanks in advance.
