Matured Endowment Policy - Ex not found/responding to Insurance Provider!

Hi! I've a very old JOINT Endowment Policy that matured in October 2023. The Insurance Provider has been unable to locate my ex wife (we divorced some 30 years ago & this policy got overlooked). I was told they will contact me when they've made contact with her - this they have not been able to do - maybe she is ignoring their letters? I've complained twice as lack of updates and last I heard was over 6 months ago. Is the money in a holding account and making interst? I did ask what their policy was if my ex wasn't found or responding, but just got told they'll let me know when they hear something!! What are the 'rules/law)' in this situation please? How can I at least receive my 50% of the funds released or even 100% if my ex is not found/corresponding. Thank you.
