  • Ex hasn't served me papers by deadline - what to do

My ex was supposed to file their papers but has not. I was granted an extension for mine because of ill health, but the Court Order was quite clear that the extension was for me only. What to do? Write to the court? They never seem to be available on the phone, and emails seem to fall into a black hole where you don't now if/when they're going to answer!

Emailing the Court whilst you try to get through, the best times to ring might be just after they open.

Thank you. It is night on impossible to get through on the phones and there doesn't seem to be a better time of day to call, sadly. But I will do that!

        Hi Winter Sun,

How did you manage the get an order confirming the extension?

I emailed the courts few months back asking for an extension but I received no reply!

          Hi SEPARATEDDAD

You need to lodge a complaint as you should of had a response.

Hi, many of my emails seem to fall into a black hole and never get actioned, and others have been, or half actioned. I would say do a combination of emailing them and keep trying on the phone. So frustrating!
