  • Ex saying she’d collected all her stuff, now changed her story

Ex said she’d collected all her stuff so chucked out what she left behind, now she wants it back??? Am I within my rights as she’d said she’d taken everything in an email, which I still have.

Hello, did you give your ex reasonable notice and time for her to collect all of her belongings? Is the email dated prior to or after they collected their stuff? Does the email clearly state she has collected all of her belongings and she would not be returning for the rest? If you can show you took reasonable steps to contact your ex about her collecting her things as that whatever she left behind she didn't want then it can be difficult for her to prove that you did it without her consent/ maliciously.

I hope this helps and if you have any further questions you can come back to this thread.
