  • Pension sharing when one partner is non uk resident

    Hi.
After many separated years my wife and I are ready to push the button and apply for our decree absolute. The only outstanding issue is my three pensions, with Pru and Aviva. I'm hitting a brick wall with sorting the share because my wife has lived in Canada for years and no longer has a UK bank account. This situation cannot be unique so if anyone can provide any assistance on a way ahead I'm keen to hear.

Is it possible for you to pay her a lump sum in lieu of her interest in your pension?
