  • Representing someone in Sheriff's Court

Hello - first post. A friend is unable to afford legal representation in a divorce settlement and is not capable of standing up and making his own case in front of the Sheriff. Although not legally qualified I am confident enough to make his case for him. I had heard that as a layperson I could only accompany him into court to assist but if I had power of attorney could I speak on his behalf?
