Today is the start of MyFriends Online Week 2012, a campaign to help older people to get online and enjoy the brilliant social benefits of the web.

As well as hosting classes for older people across the country, this week we’re encouraging internet lovers of all ages to help older friends and family get online.

So if you know someone in later life who would enjoy seeing their grandchildren via Skype, saving money through online deals or getting their voice heard online, why not take an hour to teach them during MyFriends Online Week?
