The deceased executor or person who has the probate would cease to be so once the will has been divied up, AFAIK.
It's difficult to answer the question Cynthesis cos the definition of personal representative is not quite clear.
Next of kin is usually the personal representative or the executor or executors of the will."Family means that no one gets forgotten or left behind"
