  • social services illegal activities

    Hi,
What's written below might be shocking, however true.
Child is 10 years old and autistic. Parents are separated.
Social services are involved in s*x trafficking and it's now over a year they persuaded mother to enter s*x trade and become a prost****t. She is from east European country, week and naïve person.
This is her only child. In July she gave the child to these social services to care under section 20.
The social services don't allow father to see his child. Reason is emotional abuse.
The case is in the court and every time the judge says that she does not understand why father is denied the contact.
    Now the main problem:
Court ordered contact within 6 weeks after father sends 3 videos (to reintroduce himself to the child do to long time passed, over 6 months). social services demand father signs working agreement (not mentioned in court order), where they offer if everything goes well a contact once a month for only one hour. The problem is, the father's solicitor (legal aid) advised to sign it. Absolutely unacceptable and father wants to change the solicitor.
Where can he get a decent solicitor for the case? The child is not well in care home, he bites his nails to blood and they have to use physical force often to subdue him. Again, the child is autistic and before he went to care home and was seeing father, for two years father did not witnessed even a single meltdown or anxiety attack. Help is needed very much with decent solicitor who could take the case to heart.
Thank you, all information above is true, please, don't ask for evidence of social services corruption.

We have a 'Find a lawyer' page here JustBeagle - Welcome

Click on the 'Let us guide you' button and select 'Children' and/or 'Family' as the area of law you are looking for.

The Law Society list mentioned above is here (use Advanced Search and select Children and/or Family) Find a Solicitor - The Law Society

Both search pages use much the same public information so you will get similar results but worth trying both.

We aren't able to recommend specific law firms.

Thanks for replies. It seems most solicitors don't work with legal aid. Any idea why is it so? Also, does it need to be a big company or single independent solicitor can represent father with legal aid?
As mentioned in initial post, the court has ordered the direct contact to be reinstated, but social services not cooperating. The current solicitor is not local (Birmingham), but barristers are and seem to be in very good relationship with opposing side. Very strange recommendations are coming from the solicitor. Therefor looking for even half decent solicitor to get the won case to its logical conclusion.
If there are more suggestions, please do so. As mentioned, child needs his father and is extremely not well there. It sounds like horror stories the reports these people send to the father.

Government cuts in legal aid funding going back many years. Most law firms cannot make a living from taking on legal aid cases, especially complex or time consuming ones. The government simply doesn't pay enough. Consequently many law firms have withdrawn from doing legal aid work altogether or limit how much they can take on.

I think a lot of legal aid was withdrawn for family work too so finding a legal aid soclitior is probably unlikely

Thanks for replies again. Could you direct where to get knowledge/ learn how to represent yourself? How to apply for court hearing, what to say there... where can one get this information?
For instance, the solicitor has said, that if child services don't comply with court order (and that's what they do), they would request emergency hearing. Is there anywhere how to learn these things?
                Many thanks in advance.
