Hi - my dad is probably going to lose his CHC funding and we will be starting to pay for his care. I have been told that the house should be safe as I still live there meaning it will be a mandatory disregard. I am his daughter, 61 years old and it is the only home I have ever had. After covid I only went back to work part time to be around more for him and most of the bills are still in his name, although I have started swapping them over. Are there any other criteria for keeping the house or is my age, relationship and it being my only home enough? Also, if it is accepted that it is, am I able to use any of his money for repairs - I understand decorating and improvements will not be allowed? thanks Karen
