  • URGENT PLEASE HELP - defying step mother

    Hi all,

I'll try and keep this simple. I have recently lost my father, initially we tried to support our step-mother who has now turned against us and is constantly staying with her sister, we have a will stating that everything goes to me and my sister but we believe that this is now void as it was written up prior to them marrying and nothing states if he re marries it still goes to us.

We have tried to talk about his belongings as many of these hold many memories for us and we have since found out that she is planning on moving without any hint of engaging with us blaming her mental health and having to prospane anything.

We have a key to his house (council) that he gave us pre death, can we use this to enter his house?

    Marriage revokes previous wills.

You may not enter the lady's house without her permission.
Lawyer (solicitor) - retired from practice, now supervising solicitor in a university law clinic. I do not advise by private message.

Litigants in Person should download and read this: https://www.judiciary.uk/wp-content/..._in_Person.pdf

      Atti is exactly right.
A will can be made in anticipation of a particular marriage, and survive it, but you would have seen this.
