  • Wife left the country ten years ago and now wants a divorce and 50% of house sale.

Hello all, I wonder if someone out there could help with my query.
I married my Australian wife in Australia in 1992. We moved back to the UK in 1994. We both have a child from previous relationships. We purchased a property in 2009 partly with proceeds from the marital home and partly with a mortgage. For a number of reasons my wife decided to return to Australia in 2010. Initially, she paid towards the mortgage, but after a year decided that she was unable to continue doing so. Therefore I have been solely responsible since 2011. My wife has not returned to the UK since. Recently she called and stated that she wants a divorce and for me to buy her out of the house. I thought that there was a no fault divorce possible if a spouse has been absent from the UK for five years or more, am I correct? If so, what can I do? Any help appreciated.
I should add that I am a UK citizen, but also carry Australian citizenship.
