  • Deed Poll for Minor

I am looking to change the first name of my daughter (more from a spelling point of view than anything else) and have read through the gov.uk page regarding it and know I need to complete forms LOC022, LOC023, LOC024, LOC026. Not being very savvy with these things the forms are confusing me.

In 022 two witnesses are required - can a solicitor do this?

In 023 Affidavit of best interest - it likewise is this to be completed by a solicitor, it states "sworn at" - is this the location it was done?

In 024 Would the same solicitor complete this too?

If a solicitor is approached to do this, do they just complete all of these forms and what kind of cost would that normally entail? Do they complete the forms or just sign the witnessed parts?

Thanks and sorry with the basic questions.

    Hi JNYB

There is a search engine to the right of the web page, just get some free quotes. You can then maybe negotiate a fee. Make sure you get it in writing.
