My ex wife has to pay me 15% of the value of the house she still lives in on July of this year 2019. This was agreed by all parties and the courts in our final settlement. I have written a letter to her solicitors and herself to remind them of this.So far I have had no response from my ex wife and her solicitors have replied saying they have had no instruction from her to do anything on this . If I get no response from her what is the best direction to go.Iwill not use the solicitors I had from my divorce as I thought they were very poor in their service. The letters i sent were recorded delivery so I have proof, do I keep sending theses letters, and if I get no reply go the the courts or do I get a solicitor now and charge all costs back to her

Hi Buddy Boy,
So part of your financial settlement in your divorce was that in July 2019 you will receive 15% of the former matrimonial home value, is that correct?
If that is the case and the Court Order states this, then I am not surprised you have heard nothing and your ex's solicitors have not been instructed as yet. Why would they have been, it is only February! You and your ex-wife will have received the sealed Court Order so are well aware of what was agreed.
Is there a specific date in July by which time you should expect the money? I would suggest until that date has passed and if nothing is received and no arrangements made for transfer of the sum to you by then, that is when you can enquire what is happening and not before.
You need to wait until the date the amount is due has passed, then you would be justified in contacting your ex. If she doesn't comply with the financial order then you can pursue the issue through the Court, but not before.I am a qualified solicitor and am happy to try and assist informally, where needed.
