if I was the Boss and viewed resignation accepted then due form I would be to disengage the person resigning as to the reason for action! that is to say they may try and discredit or get others to disengage with my company - more so I would tell you to go anyway (politly) and carry out notice by staying at home/ the real world!
so in your case if advised to go into work do so or consequences may go against you for what ever reason. no tribunal would stand you not going into work )being paid to ) and you ignore so tread carefully? maybe there is alterier motive for your resignation not told to us ??? or just want a change of jobs just a thought
