  • Sexual discrimination advice

A man I work with has been shouted at twice by a female colleague because she gets stressed and loses control. When he complained to his male manager he said that my colleague should see the signs and walk away. There are no warning signs and she just blows her top the manager said that women are more emotional than men and they shout a bit and get upset easily. He didn't feel he has to accept this in a professional environment. If he shouted at a women like this I am pretty sure he would be in serious trouble. He has taken this to HR but feels like he is being blamed and she and the manager are being protected. Because she is a woman and crys and shows her emotions she seems to be viewed as feeling more hurt by the incidents than he is. Any thoughts or experience of this?
