    I have had a change of heart to join my new employer from 16/01. The employer has gone through all the due diligence process however I might not want to join them.

    What are the legal implications of this.?

    Unless you have signed something to the contrary, which would be very rare, there are none. You can't be forced to work for someone. But be very sure that you want to do this - they are likely to never offer you a job again. They aren't likely to be ecstatic about you giving backword a week or less before you start.

    Why are you changing your mind at this stage?

      I was sent an conditional offer which I had signed. They were going through all the searches and credit checks before I got a unconditional offer.

      However I have found them very rigid with flexibility and the offer now from my old employ = new employ.

      So just thinking why move when I am getting more flexibility then go ro a RIGID and not forward thinking employee.

        Well if you are sure your current employer will be better, then you should notify the new employer that you won't be staying with them. If it was a conditional offer only, it isn't a firm offer anyway.
