Been to quite a few interviews and I have not been successful; I have been declaring I had a work injury 8 years ago - should I stop declaring this now as could it be stopping me getting the job? I had a lower back injury and have been discharged but still was registered 10 percent disabled.
Should I still be declaring my reasons leaving

Be intelligent about this.
Well, your disability/ back injury is likely standing in your way. By law you do not have to tell an employer you have a registered 10% disability until a certain stage/ point as it gives them opportunity to discriminate, which you have found out to your detriment up to now. You should tell them this only if you're offered the job and not before, in your situation is my opinion.

I agree, why do you need to declare your injury at the interview stage especially if it's not going to affect your work. I've never declared any medical issues at the interviews, only once I've got the job and filling out all the required documentation.
