  • Title during probation? Assistance please

    Dear All,

Having worked for a company for 18 months, I was promoted to Operations Manager - on probation for 6 months. Can I please ask two questions:

    1. I handed in my notice 3 months into the probation period as I didnt like the new role.
On my CV and LinkedIn, I have put "Operations Manager (3 months)".
My old Director has emailed me asking me to remove that from LinkedIn as I "refused the position" - My view point is that I accepted the position, I just didnt like it. However, I was promoted.
    Any guidance appreciated.

    2. Having been promoted, is it usual to be put on probation for 6 months, even if the role is essentially the same as previous.

    Kind regards,
    Jamie

Thanks Lowry. I was hoping to ignore him! However, I do need him for a reference.

I'm going to email him back on the lines of politeness, saying I accepted the promotion, however, decided to leave the company. My title upon leaving was Operations Manager.

      Hope that sounds alright.
