It's the only way they could win! If all witnesses were cross examined without the others being present, neither would know what the others had said and all their stories would have fallen apart.

        Hi TonyG

Are you saying that, while one witness was being X-examined, other witnesses were in the courtroom?

Yes. Everyone was sat in the same room. I thought that was how employment tribunals were conducted. Claimant with their rep and any witnesses on one side, and respondent and their rep and witnesses on the other side. While one of their witnesses was being cross examined their other witnesses were conferring. While I was being cross examined they were all conferring too.

What happens when I get there?

The hearing will generally commence at around 10am. You should report to the reception of thetribunal by 9.30am at the latest and you will be directed towards the respondent’s waiting room. You should remain in the respondent’s waiting room until you are called into the hearing room togive evidence (or your solicitor indicates that you may go through). If you bring a mobile phone/BlackBerry to the tribunal, you must be sure to turn it off or at leastrender it silent. Many panel members (even normally mild-mannered ones) get very irritated ifthese handsets go off during proceedings.

No doubt this is the bit the Judge will quote if I raise the issue; it doesn't specify any conditions for when 'your solicitor' can indicate you to go through. Not worth raising with this Judge as he only applied procedures to the letter when it was against me; otherwise procedures were allowed to be stretched to the limit and even broken when it came to the employer.

Re: Urgent help required - RE asking for reconsideration of judgement

Hi, how long after a request has been made does it take for a tribunal to decide if they are going to reconsider a decision? And how long after a request has been made does it take to receive a copy of the written reasons for the decision? Both requests were acknowledged the same day but then ive heard nothing else since.

Has anybody got any ideas on this. Its been over 3 weeks since both requests were made and considering I need a copy of written reasons to take it to appeal, and there is a short window to appeal, Id have thought I would have had them by now.

I thought about doing that but decided not to as it might come across as me mithering or rushing them. I don't want any little thing to go against me at this stage.

I thought there might be a rough estimate seeing as everything else has a time scale attached to it. Guess I'm gonna have to contact the tribunal again :/
