Why oh why I ask myself is nothing straightforward regarding my employment?
I recently had a bout of depression and returned to work on th 8th February as my GP has signed me fit to work with adjusted hours for four weeks.
My employer then held a meeting with me on the 11th February and allowed me 1 hours flexibility with my start time, i.e. i could come in upto 1 hour late each day. There was scope to make up the hour at the end of the day but it was said it was not required.
So for approximately 20 days I worked 1 hour less which has been deducted from my wages.
My first question is is that right? I think its fair I dont see why I should get paid for hours I didn't work, but I just want to check.
The situation has not been reviewed by my GP or employer since, however I was recently placed on suspension with full pay, now 24 days and counting. I was reviewing my employers online timesheet service and it seems to indicate the hours for a suspension shift are 5.5 hours per day and not what my contracted hours would have been before the adjustment of 8 hours per day.
I suspect I am about to be dismissed, I have posted previously and am fully briefed re this situation, was just wondering if I recieve my payslip for the time that I have been on suspension what exactly on full pay should mean in this situation.
Hope someone can help
