Hi, for the past two years i’ve been working as a service manager in a software development agency where I coordinated service delivery. I also did some ad-hoc projects and recruitment around the office but this was to fill in time when I need extra tasks.
Recently our company received comms that a new service delivery manager starting. when I read about what they'd be doing, I realized they were taking over my role and held the exact same responsibilities.
I was consulted after new employee was offered the role and now I'm working under the service delivery manager in a lesser role. Whilst I'm trying to be positive and get on with things, I feel discriminated against, as I hold a great performance record and I feel like most of the time I'm training or guiding my new manager.
Is there anything unethical about the above scenario or an action I could take to better my situation. I am miserable!
