  • Hi guys. urgently need help

Hey guys. Just joined this forum. Was looking for some help on a recent issue at work

I recently became a gym instructor/personal trainer for a company i have been attending for over 12 years. I turned up everyday on time, done all my work with a smile and helped clients an unbelievable amount even on my days off, i really went the extra mile.
I get called into the office yesterday, they say they wish to terminate my contract and handed me a letter about some gardening process (you get paid for the last week they need you but you dont have to attend work). I asked why they were getting rid of me, they replied they dont have to tell me. I asked continuously to which they replied, its not working out, like a boyfriend and girlfriend relationship. I was confused and asked why, again they said they didnt have to tell me.
Eventually after pestering them they said it was because my references didnt get back in touch (ive been there a month and a half) i contacted both references who claim theyve had no contact from the company. They THEN went onto say it was because i didnt fill out a DBS form online, to whicj i told them i needed a password and didnt have one, which they never gave me (on the website it requires a password to enter). Then they blamed it on the staff, basically saying i was voted out. I asked them to elaborate, they wouldnt.
I then asked them to put what theyve said in writing, which they wouldnt.
Now im left jobless, i unfortunately was under contract, but rhe reasons for my dismissal are contradictory and vague, they now wont comment on some of the things theyve said, what can i do about this?

Should i bother with citizens advice? I feel cheated

I afraid that their first answer was right. They didn't have to give you a reason because if you have less than 2 years service you don't have the right to claim unfair dismissal. (There are a number of exceptions but none of them are relevant here.)

But it seems so unethical and unfair. I have done nothin wrong. Customers are sending complaint emails to the company saying theyve made a mistake

Fairness and ethics do not come into it time to move on you are probably better of somewhere else.
Think of it as their loss
