    Clause 5. Term
The Term is for a fixed period of 12 months

    Clause 8. Termination
Notwithstanding Clause 5, the College may at any time terminate the contract upon written notice provided that the minimum notice is:

    - one month for fixed term contracts

I Agree.... I have replied to HR with the following:-

    11. Notice of termination • 1 week for fixed term contracts of 6 months or less
    • 1 calendar month for fixed term contracts of more than 6 months

This does not imply that you can simply give me a months notice at any time, it implies that as my fixed term contract is for 12 months, then you would need to give me 1 calendar month in lieu of my contract expiry date….i.e. you would issue me a months notice on the 13th September 2016. This is to override the expiry of my contract automatically coming to an end on the actual end date, and allow you the ability to extend beyond the 12 months if required.
