Hi I have worked for the same trust for 9 years and have been in the post I am now for 5 years. I was told the beginning of last year that my hours were changing from 10-6 Monday- Friday to shifts covering weekends and bank holidays. I have had 3 meetings over the past 6 months and in all of them I have explained that due to my commute to work I can't work shifts. They are still saying I have to change. I have had little help from occupational health and feel my union rep isn't helping much either. Last week after meeting with my manager, HR and my rep my rep said he would make an off the record call to HR and they would come up with a amount of money to offer me to leave
I have no idea if this is a good thing or bad and if it's legal.? I asked him about redundancy as I have been in the redeployment pool twice with no posts available but he is ad I wouldn't be eligible? Maybe I shouldn't say who I work for yet.
Could anyone tell me if they have heard of this offer before and what to do if and when I get the call from my rep with a figure?
Any advice and help will be much appreciated:doggieyes:
