  • Romours and rights? ?

OK guys and girls I'm off work on paternity leave and holiday I'm due back on Sunday 31st Jan 2016

Since being off I've a my old work phone me asking about a rumor going around saying I've been suspended and I'm under investigation for stealing!!! Got to say this was a massive shock to myself they have apparently heard this from a trade customer that comes to my shop but this trade customer knows my manager very well needless to say this is a little unnerving as my girlfriend has just had a baby.

I know at this point it's just a roumers but how do I stand if this is true ??

As the only place the info could of come from is my manager and if it is true I was under the impression I'm suspended then an investigation takes place so if they are telling people before I'm suspended surly that's defimission of caracictor

I'm not sure where I stand and I have the rumor on text from a friend I used to work with that will present date the suspension if there is one
Any help advice of where I stand is much appreciated

I've not been happy at my work since the area manager joined the company as I used to work in the same company as them before and we had a big fall out and it seems she holds a grudge as she is making things awkward at times I understand if she wants me out but to ruin my reputation and make me Un employable is going a bit far in my opinion

    Re: Romours and rights? ?

First ask your manager about what the trade customer said, as the rumour could be from the trade customer himself, not your manager! If they haven't told you your suspended then its likely you have nothing to fear. It could also simply be your old work stirring up trouble after noticing you not been there at cuurent work for a while! So ask your manager about it telling him what your old work place told you, then also ask the trade customer too! Then let up date us here.

Until we and you know where you stand i.e. suspended or not. Theres not much we can do apart from play the guessing and blame game!
