    wages

    seeking advice. been working part time for a small company. I get paid monthly . absolutely loved my job. my pay was due December 29th. not a penny went in . the boss is really hard to get hold of just keeps saying don't come in his terminal is down and will get paid when he does . don't know what to do ? I'm now got no money 😢 please help.

    Doesn't matter is his terminal (computer) is down. He can still make the payment to you via other means - Failure to pay you amounts to being an unlawful deduction of wages under section 13 of the employment rights act 1996. Write to him, making it clear that if payment is not made within 7 days, then you will bring a claim against him for unlawful deductions of wages in breach of the employment rights act 1996 - Which also amounts to a breach of contract!

    I assuming your based in the UK, though your refering to a computer as terminal leads me to think you may be based outside of the UK - So only use the advise above if your based in the UK as this site gives advice only on UK law!
