Advice please ASAP

Hi all my daughter works part time for the last 7 months she has been of dealing with treatment and side effects of Cancer her bosses are suppose to be friends lol but haven't contacted her at all only when she has seen one boss at the place of work when picking my grandson up or to her partner when her boss has seen him. They have known her sick note runs out this week and last week daughter got meeting for last Thursday but 1 hour before they cancelled no reason said they would contact her lol but haven't she text them today saying she concerned as due back Friday he text back saying he would need to speak to her after Thursday when sick note runs out he will start paying her again as only had SSP but refuses to arrange anything else until after sick period ends as he said that's what he been told has to happen . Said he let her know but won't be Friday as he busy but will let her know . My question can they sack her they work from home so paper work etc could be mislaid etc if they need reasons it's a husband and wife team , daughter has heard things that's been said and temp manager was promised a job elsewhere when daughter returns but that position not available .Bosses have made remarks about her work to others but then backtracked when confronted by her friend and they have said she has to be phased back and hef family need her etc . She did text back as they are friends of hers she goes to their house everyday between shifts she asked after text about meeting after Thursday have I done something wrong reply was I'll discuss everything when I see you not before . Should she be worried ? Should she get a letter if meeting formal and she going to be sacked or if informal just to have a return to work meeting I think they have treated her awful she did have problems at another nursery and was dismissed a few years ago different things but as bosses daughter was her manager she didn't stand a chance and was going through divorce well trying bless her this boss knows all about it and even told her she should have taken it further so he has this if he wants to go down work related dissmissal saying things have come to light since been off .She says she knows her work was suffering in February when she first ill but didn't go drs till late march and dr treated her for piles till late April when diagnosed . So who knows please advise xxxxxx sorry meant to say she been there 3 years .
