  • Disciplinary hearing question

Without going into any finer details - I have been suspended for 10 months and am now told a hearing has to be held on a date approximately within a fortnight. This is because the Chair is not available on any other dates during the month.

I will have been in receipt of the lengthy final report for a month on the date they want to deal with this but it does not give sufficient time to make my case, especially as other information is required from others, which is beyond my control in terms of time.

The ACAS document only indicates I can move a hearing date by 5 days but I would welcome any opinions.

With no knowledge of the case I would say that a month is more than reasonable.

Agreed - that's about four times as long as most people get.
