  • Suspended and on sick

I am on suspension from work but also on the sick. They want me to attend for an investigation meeting whilst on the sick. They have stated that if I don't attend they will do it without me. Is this doable?
    Thanks

    Re: Suspended and on sick

    First question

If you are on suspension have they done the fact finding meeting yet
How long have you been employed for
Being delicate, what reason are you on the sick, is it stress related??
How long have you been off on the sick
Yes they can hold the meeting in your absence if deemed reasonable, and dismiss while you are on the sick
Delicate again, what is the reason for the suspension, being suspended does not mean you are guilty of anything

You should be given a mnimum of two different appointment dates to attend while on the sick, but depends on what the absence is to be appropriate. Consulation should also be made with either Ocupational health or GP as to sutability to attend if necessary
