      Normal operation of a network nowadays is that the IP address is assigned dynamically so that every time you switch on the computer it is given an address from the available address pool. I very much doubt that they could definitely say it was your IP address because that address could have been given to anyone on the network at any time. I doubt if a log is kept of which computer is assigned which address.

      There is information available that is specific to your computer but even that can be spoofed.

        So it is probable that no link can be established with Sam's computer.

        To help OP we need to remember that there are (as yet undisclosed) witness statements, we need to know what is in them.

          As soon as I receive a response from my ex employer I will post any information I receive. I'm hoping they are prompt however am not holding out much hope!

            If you send a SAR, they have up to 40 days to comply. Make sure you request CCTV footage as well as documents on it. :thumb:
