• accused of falsifying timesheet

Hi,
I received an email from my finance director regarding overtime and the amount being claimed. He has looked at train tickets bought and the start time on our timesheet. Other employees did not tally up. I have no tickets for last month but have been accused of falsifying my timesheet with no evidence. The email even states that he had no evidence.
I have worked for this company for nine years with out having any issues with my timesheet.
I am at a loss as what to do as it's a small company and I'm pretty sure all the directors will stick together.
Any advice would be gratefully received.

Hi anon1973

In the absence of evidence what is the finance director basing the accusation on?

Has there been any suggestion of an investigation or potential disciplinary action?

Do you use the train to get to work? If so why haven't you provided train tickets (i find it strange they would require you to do so unless they pay you travel expenses).
