I'm rubbish at formal writing, just bullet points
Just head the letter Formal Grievance Letter

Then copy and paste and edit to suit what i had stated in above posts as paragraphs, though correct the grammar and spelling errors.

    Address it to HR Manager.

Re: Forced to work a 15.5 hour day - driving

update nothing heard yet from work officially, got an email from HR stating he has passed it on to the head boss and i was suppose to be getting an email yesterday about my investigating officer and timescales.
I have yet to receive anything official.

I did report my company to HSE who i have received an email from the working time officer who is going to write to my company stating concerns about long shifts, breaks etc.
i have not disclosed my name but the company will know who it is, so should i state my name?
im worried about the company taking revenge and trying to force me out etc....

Also they have forced a colleague who works with me, who lives further away so it will be a four hour commute altogether to work today , and he his, i've pleaded with him not to but he is scared of losing his job.

Its up to your colleague what he decides to do as its his choice at the end of the day.

As for reporting to HSE, well its a protected disclosure and you have already raised the issue both informally and now formally with your company. So i doubt they would risk taking revengeful actions against you.

Have you checked to make sure the email didn't go in to your spam box?

Give them another week as letter maybe in post to you - If you still not heard anything then there in breach of their own grievance policy.

Re: Forced to work a 15.5 hour day - driving

another small update, the person i have put the grievance about and his boss , their positions have been made redundant and they have to apply for a position underneath their current roles,
this is not down to my grievance its just how the company has been run compared to the rest of the country the main fact being staff turnover,
i had a meeting with the investigating officer yesterday who agreed something was not right about the way they had treated me,and admitted i had been treated unfairly, also confirmed that travel time to another station is in works hours,
and on them facts he is formally interviewing other witness and the man in question.

Also director came to our station the other day to get some facts about the management as we have a few people leaving to difference ambulance providers, and he stated that we would never have to travel to another station out of works time again( i did blind send him my grievance email)

                                Thanks Teaboy

                                will also update the outcome
