My boss hasnt paid us for 6 weeks

Hi, I work at a company where we don't have a set payday. She pays us whenever she likes depending on how she believes weve 'behaved' and what mood she is in. Our contract states we should get paid on the last working day of the month. We got paid last on the 18th December. We STILL haven't been paid this month and were in our 6th week. No one wants to approach her as she is the most unapproachable person on the planet and wont do anyone any favours. What the hell can we do?

If the payment is not due until the last day of the month then you will not get paid until tomorrow. My OH has the same payment date and his last payment was before Christmas and this is always the case at this time of the year. We call the last week of January ‘little lent!’
If however you regularly find the last working day of the month slips by without your pay coming in then she is wrong. I do not know exactly what the legal standing is but I am sure someone will come along soon with that knowledge.
