    Employment Contract - Notice Period Term for Redundancy - Clear/Unclear?

    Hi All

    Would appreciate thoughts on whether the attached notice period clause is clear or not. I am under notice of redundancy and have completed 7 years service. I think the clause is a little vague and may mean I can claim 1 month plus one year for each year of service (12 years). With "Contra proferentem" in mind does anyone have any thoughts?

    Looks a pretty standard clause so 1 month + 2 weeks in your case.

      What exactly are you looking for here, are you trying to establish what your redundancy pay entitlement would be or the period of notice to terminate your contract? Or the consultancy period for redundancy - You will find terms for redundancy in your contract also!
