        Because if they are not giving me any information, maybe it is something completely silly?

        The allegations have already been made in the letter, and they are not something silly.
        If you don't hand in your letter to the manager concerned, then any disciplinary action taken by him will stand, pending an appeal, which could take time.
        If you are not that worried about being dismissed anyway, then go in there with both guns blazing...
        Sometimes it is better to go on the attack in order to defend yourself.
        The company have not acted correctly so let them know it.
        But the decision is yours and I too wish you a lot of luck.
        Don't be nervous, they can't lock you up..........
